Raquel Alvarenga represents U.S. and international clients facing domestic and international disputes. She has experience litigating before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration panels. Fully fluent in Spanish, Raquel provides guidance to clients in Spain and Latin American countries on U.S. laws and the U.S. legal system.

Raquel’s experience includes employment litigation and counseling. She regularly counsels and represents management and senior executives in virtually every aspect of employment law. She has handled litigation matters involving breach of contract, non-compete clauses, trade secrets and unfair competition, discrimination and harassment, whistleblower and retaliation claims, and access and public accommodation claims. She has also handled tort claims such as breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, and defamation. She also assists employers in conducting sensitive internal investigations of employee complaints and employee misconduct.

Raquel’s work with clients also includes drafting employment-related policies, handbooks and agreements, and conducting training for employers on various issues concerning employment law compliance and managing a workforce, including personnel policies and practices, hiring and termination of employees, and employment agreements.

Raquel was previously an associate at an AmLaw 100 firm, where she represented clients in the fashion, retail, entertainment, hospitality, private club, non-profit, and education industries.
