Ivor C. Wolk is a partner in CTSW’s corporate department. Ivor has been engaged in corporate, business and commercial law for over 28 years.  His practice includes corporate and securities law, corporate finance, capital markets transactions and general corporate matters.

Ivor advises clients in a wide range of transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, private placements, financings, restructurings, joint ventures, partnerships, licensing and distribution agreements. He also counsels clients with respect to their securities law disclosure and compliance obligations and corporate governance matters.  Ivor often serves as the outside general counsel to his clients on a wide variety of miscellaneous day-to-day issues.  In addition, he also has experience advising foreign clients in Israel, Australia and China with respect to their business affairs in the U.S.

His clients include financial institutions, broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, hedge funds, family offices, real estate owners, developers and investors, technology companies and entrepreneurial start-up businesses.

Ivor began his career at Davis Polk & Wardwell, ultimately moving to Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft.  Before returning to the full-time practice of law where he was a partner at Pastore & Dailey LLC, Ivor served as General Counsel to a registered broker-dealer and capital markets advisory firm and as a senior capital markets and derivatives attorney at a number of prominent investment banks.  Ivor was also part of the team of lawyers brought in post-bankruptcy to negotiate and resolve the complex derivative transactions at the Lehman Brothers estate.
